Rockford, IL, November
8, 2006 - Effective August 2006, Anderson Packaging has received DEA approval
for packaging of Schedule 2 and 2N pharmaceuticals. Schedule 2 packaging
program launches are already underway within Anderson's state-of-the-art main
facility. This secure 310,000 square foot plant houses numerous primary
packaging suites, capable of accommodating the most complex packaging programs.
Anderson's Schedule 2 DEA approved packaging capabilities currently include
primary and secondary packaging, including bottling, unit-dose blistering, and
pouch filling for solid dose format pharmaceuticals.
According to Peter
Belden, Vice President of Sales, "Anderson was able to start running Schedule 2
programs almost immediately, in large part because of our proficiency in
working with our customers to implement new technologies and protocols.
Anderson also has stringent validation processes in place and extensive
experience in unit-dose and child resistant packaging, which makes Schedule 2
packaging a great fit for us. We are excited about the opportunity to apply our
expertise in contract pharmaceutical packaging and our proven record of
providing superb quality and customer service in offering this expanded
