| ROCKFORD,
III.-- Anderson Packaging announces the recent acquisition of
multiple Uhlmann UPS Series 4 Thermoforming Lines. These additions
will increase Anderson's annual blister packaging capacity to

These
capabilities further expand Anderson Packaging's extensive capacity for
customer drug launches and outsourcing needs.
According to Shawn Reilley, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, "We are excited to announce this substantial increase in our blistering capacity. We realize a primary mission of a contract packager to our strategic customers is to provide excess capacity for product launches and peak periods. It is important to note that 70% of this new incremental capacity has been purchased with no identified programs, thus providing Anderson Packaging industry-leading flexibility to support our customer's growing outsourcing needs."
Anderson, and indeed the entire pharmaceutical industry, has seen a substantial increase in the need for unit dose packaging throughout the last 15 years. The purchase of these new Uhlmann thermoforming lines places Anderson Packaging at the forefront of the pharmaceutical contract packaging industry in terms of both quality and ability to produce blister packaging.
Anderson Packaging is one of the fastest growing pharmaceutical contract packagers in the United States. With extensive experience in new-product launches and process startup, Anderson offers such specialized services as package development, including design of child-resistant and patient compliance prompting features, and process development, including in-house tooling design and manufacture. Anderson also maintains one of the most progressive process, facilities and validation programs in the contract packaging industry, while maintaining a record of superior quality and service.
