Anderson Packaging Announces Retirement of Company President, Larry Beckmann

Rockford, IL, March 26, 2008 - Anderson Packaging announces the retirement of company president, Larry Beckmann. Mr. Beckmann has been President of Anderson Packaging Inc. since 1980. Working for John Anderson, local industrialist, until the sale of the company in 2003 to the AmerisourceBergen Corporation and continuing subsequently, Mr. Beckmann has been responsible for dramatic growth of the company in his 27 years as President. This includes unparalleled growth in the last 9 years, averaging in excess of 20% annual sales increases. Through his vision and strategic planning, Anderson Packaging has grown from a regional packaging services company to a globally recognized leader in the contract pharmaceutical packaging industry.

At the time Mr. Beckmann joined the company, Anderson Packaging operated one facility in Rockford, Illinois. Mr. Beckmann has been influential in keeping the company located in the Rockford area. In the year 2008, Anderson operates seven locations in the greater Rockford area totaling over one million square feet. The most recent addition, completed in January of this year, was a 260,000 square foot $15 million expansion to accommodate future growth in the pharmaceutical contract packaging market. Anderson Packaging has also grown to be one of the largest employers in the Rockford community, currently employing over 1,200 associates.
